A Touch of Kras

17 February 2017

Go Back The all-new ACU British Two-Stroke Motocross Championship could very well produce some of the most exciting race action we’ll see this season and fans can expect Mike Kras to be in the mix for race wins and the title.

The 28-year-old Dutchman, the reigning EMX300 champion, will be contesting the four-round series racing for Bob Buchanan’s GL12 KTM UK team.

“I’m looking forward to the season and, of course, the British two-stroke championship is very important for me,” he said. “The class is very big – there’s even a waiting list – and in England two-strokes are very popular, especially for the fans who want to see it.”

Mike has clearly been working hard all winter and was the top two-stroke rider at the recent Hawkstone International.

“I think this year it’s going to be the most packed class,” he added. “There are some nice tracks and good riders so I’m going to do my best, give the fans a show and try and win it.”

Mike is one of the first riders to take advantage of FIM Europe’s decision to throw open the EMX250 series to two-strokes and will race his home round of the championship at Valkenswaard on April 23 on an SX250.

The new two-stroke series runs alongside four rounds of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship this season.

If you’re after a pre-mix fix then the dates for your diary are…
