MX2 leader on the podium at USA GP!

31 May 2010

Current MX2 championship leader, Zach Osborne took his Bike it Cosworth Yamaha onto the second step of the podium at the Glen Helen GP yesterday. In extremely hot conditions, the twenty year old, originally from Virginia, put in two very strong motos to take his first podium of the year. It was approx. 12 months ago that he stormed the GP scene with an outright win at the Turkish GP. Osborne has been a regular competitor in the British Championship and currently has a healthy lead in the series as we move towards the halfway stage.

In addition, the likable American flies back to Europe for the French GP this weekend, ahead of the next round of our championship, 5,000 dollars to the better, after also winning the award for the best American rider at the GP. This award, known as the Marty Moates Cup, was presented in recognition of the former GP winner who is amongst many legends from the States.

Meanwhile down under, Current British MX1 Champion, Brad Anderson, has scored double wins over Billy MacKenzie in the Australian Championship.

Both riders will be back to continue their quest for British honours at Lyng in Norfolk on June 13th.
