Duns circuit in prime condition

30 April 2010

Go Back The Langton Lees circuit is basking in sunshine and looking in excellent condition ahead of round three on Sunday. Circuit owners Chris and Dave Macvie, in conjunction with the Borders MXC Club who are promoting the event for the first time, are relaxed about the current state of the track, having control over the weather is much easier than relying on rain
Commenting to MXGB, Dave Macvie said, " I am not going to rip the ground too early as with 2.5mm forecast over the next 24 hours it could dry out more than the rain will wet it. We will see how much rain we have overnight and then we will hit it tomorrow afternoon and evening".

Also on circuit, Johnny Douglas - Hamilton, who has faced all of the jumps and created some passing lines on many of the corners, enlarged, " The ground is still moist a few inches down and working with Chris and Dave I am sure we can get the track perfect by 9am on Sunday".

Our picture shows the circuit after the banner crew had finished on Friday afternoon and now the atmosphere is very relaxed ahead of the teams arriving on Saturday morning. With the Lammermuir hills in the background, the weather forecast for the whole weekend is dry and cold, so everyone is excited about the full six championship races.

The action will start at 9am on Sunday with Timed Training, with the first of six championship races starting at 12.15pm
