Foreign Riders dominate Qualifying at Mallory Park

21 March 2010

Teka Suzuki's World contender, Ken Roczen and CAS Honda rider Evgeny Bobreshev dominated to Q1 qualifying sessions and whilst Roczen backed this up with a Superpole top slot, Bobreshev had to give way to Ex World Champion, Mickael Pichon who lept from second in the MX1 Q1 session to snatch the Superpole by half a second from the CAS rider.

Pichon, who is guesting for the injured Pascal Leuret in the MAR Team now has first pick of the gate on a fast drying track.

Back to MX2 and Roczen's Team partner, Arnaud Tonus took third followed by Neville Bradshaw who lept past Mel Pocock and Matiss Karro in the second session. Pre championship favourite, Jake Nicholls is down in 11th spot after only managing 10th in the Q1 session in the wetter conditions.

By the time the MX1 riders took to the circuit, the track had dried considerably and Current Champion, Brad Anderson heads to the start gate in 3rd position, ahead of the CCM pairing of Stephen Sword and Tom Church.

The MX2 first race is now underway and the sun is shing and the track drying very fast.
