Roczen at Mallory Park!

08 March 2010

After a dazzling display in the MX2 class at the pre season International at Hawkstone Park, Suzuki's teenage sensation is a confirmed entry for the second round of the championship at Mallory Park, on the 21st of this month. The Teka Suzuki teamster will be joined by Swiss rider, Arnaud Tonus, who will both use the event as a serious warm up to their GP campaign which starts next month.

Still only fifteen years old, the likable German rider dominated the MX2 class at the Shropshire circuit and made Tanel Leok work hard to beat him in the mixed class Grand Final. Speaking after the event, Roczen confirmed the three race format was hard but he is looking forward to the challenge at Mallory Park, where he is likely to face stiff opposition from current championship leader Zach Osborne and last year's runner up Jake Nicholls.

In a statement, Rene Liekens, Roczen's Manager commented, "It was a choice of sending Ken and Arnaud to either the British or Italian Championship rounds on the 21st, but the team wanted me to send them to England because Mallory Park is a technical and difficult circuit."

Discounted advance tickets for the event are available on the Mallory Park website for the event which starts at 9.30am on Sunday 21st March. Race fans can also watch a Club Road Race event on the same day with just one entrance ticket for either event.
