Qualifying report from Little Silver

28 February 2010

In drying conditions, the new Superpole Q2 qualifying system worked well at the season opener at Exeter earlier today. After taking the initiative in the first Q1 session Zach Osborne on the Bike it Cosworth Yamaha stamped his authority in Q2 and held the pole position. Kristian Whatley improved from 9th in Q2 to take 2nd and Jake Nicholls, the hot tip for the series honours, slotted into 3rd. Mel Pocock who posted the 2nd fastest time in Q1 didn't fare so well and dropped down to 6th in the Q2 session.
As this is being written the first of three MX2 races are underway Osborne has made the perfect start and is leading the first moto.
