Mike and Ike are solid at Blaxhall

Go Back His team-mate James Dunn may have taken the overall at Blaxhall at round three of the B2S championship but GL12 Racing KTM’s Mike Kras still extended his championship lead over Ash Wilde with two second places.

“I’ve never been happy with a second place but today I am,” said the Dutchman. “After Russia and the travelling and working in the week I’ve been really tired.

“On Tuesday I got sick and was completely empty and I didn’t know how to survive the second race but I did. I followed James for a little bit so he could pull me clear of the rest and then I just rode my own race.

“The last two rounds are sand and that is my thing so I’m looking forward to showing the boys what I can do.”

The team’s youngest member – 15-year-old Ike Carter – put in three brilliant rides to end the day fourth overall in MXY2 where he was competing against 250F-mounted riders on his SX125 two-stroke.

Ike started the day with seventh in the opening moto, improved to fourth in race two and then signed off with a very impressive second.

“Today’s gone well,” he said. “I struggled on the starts a little bit but I pulled through. It’s hard out of the gate against the 250s but I made some good passes.”
